What a Boring Day

Label yawned as she sat back in the lounge chair By the pool. The was nothing to do today. she had the day off and wasnt in the mood to draw, so she desided to hang out at the pool.

Franken passes by label as she streched out on the chair by the pool

"Oh hey there" he said rubbing his swollen face from the beating he had recieved the other night "fancy a drink? theres some of those ones with the little umbrellas in if you fancy one"

he asked carefully hoping to make up for what happened the other night at the club


Frankens pool outfit

label looked up at him. instead of scouling at him or tell him to go away in an inaprotie manner as most people would think she'd do. she smiled softly and nodded

"that sound nice"

she said giving him a soft smile. it was a nice day, so she really didnt have any reson to be in a bad mood. plus the drawing came off her face finaly

Franken winced half expecting another slap after the face painting incident however he sighed in relief

"Coming right up he grinned"

In a flash he returned with 2 glasses, each filled with a yellow coloured drink with tiny little umbrellas bobbling on the surface

"you know i never really understood the point of these umbrellas..." Franken says as hands label one of the extravagent drinks

label giggled softly and took her drink

"well i think there cute"

she said and took it out, licking the drink off the end and then putting it in her ear. she then took a sip of the drink and licked her lips

"yumy, what is this?"

she asked looking up at him

Franken takes a sip of the drink

"It's called the yellow bird cocktail mostly just pineapple and lime juice, yours is just that, mine has a pinch of rum in to give it a kick; but its a nice bright colour to compliment a lovely day like today"

He says as he sits down on a chair opposite Label

"i know a lot more drink mixtures than that, which is surprising i remember anything of my stint as a barman back when i was 20 though... all those times i woke up in a strange place every morning with a stinking hangover... yeah that wasn't the life for me"

label tilted her head confuzed

"wait, back when you where 20? how old are you know?"

she asked curois

Franken sighs

"the big 30, i know i look young for my age its a common mistake people make around me"

Laying back in the chair he stretches out and smiles as the light sparkles off the water in the pool

"But with age comes experience, i've been a waiter, a barman, a chef, even an amateur boxing champion at one point. You name it i've done it"

He grins at label as he relises he's rambling

"Well how about you, what have you done with your life so far?"

label looked down at her drink and took a sip

"i'd rather not say"

she said, a hint of saddness in her voice as she looked at the sky

"so, what about a striper"

she said laughing trying to change the subject

"What there's a stripper around here??" Franken looked around the mansion like a dog looking for a burried bone until he regained his composure, straightening his tie and combing down his hair he laid back on the chair

"this is such a classy place, i wouldnt be surprised if one came out of the pool dressed as a mermaid"

Putting his hands behind his head he sighed again

"Who would have thought that a life of crime would be so luxurious... I love being bad"

label giggled at his reaction and smiled

"ill drink to that"

she grined holding up her glass to clink with his

"Cheers" Franken says as he raises his class and taps it against Label's

"You know what, you're alright kid" he grins as he takes a sip of his drink

label took a sip and smirked

"as are you, old man"

she giggled

"Old man!?" Franken splutters as he accidenly slurps up an ice cube and chokes on it

coughing and wheezing he looks at label his eye bulging out at her

"ahh that wasn't very nice" he grumbles at her "old man... bah"

label giggled and stood up

"calm down i was just joking, you dont look a day over 24"

she said and walked over to the pool

"thanks" he smiles as he stands up and wanders up to the sparkling pool

He rolls up his sleeve, bends over and places his hand in the water

"ooh icey cold" he shivers. "shame i didnt bring my swimming gear with me"

label shruged

"i dont mind a little cold water"

she said and dived in. going deep to the bottom and then coming back up and pushing her hair back

"ahh thats nice"

Kicking off his shoes, socks and rolling up his trousers Franken puts his feet in the pool and relaxes on the poolside as label dives about in the water

"wow, you've got style in the water, if you did that in the sea you'd be mistaken for a mermaid by some drunk old sailor straight away" he laughs as he kicks some water at her as he takes another sip of drink

label giggled and spashed it back

"didnt they also mistake sea cows as mermaids to?"

she laughed as she swam over to him and rested her arms on the side.

Shaking the water off himself he looks down at label and sighs

"i am in no way comparing you to a sea cow...not even close no way" he begins to ramble again

"soo erm yeah hows the water?" he says unloosening his tie, struggling to catch his breath

label laughed and smiled

"its really nice if you jump in"

she said turning and leaning agenst the pool side

"alright alright you win" he says as he slowly into slides into the pool

"But in both our best interests im doing this in my clothes" he frowns at her

"These clothes are cheap anyway..." he says as he makes his decent into the water

"Oh your right, this is nice!" He grins as he bobs along the waters surface

label giggled as she pushed off the wall and flouted around

"soo wanna play a game?"

she asked smliing

"Sure! what like? who can hold their breathe under the water the longest?"

Franken looks at her as she swims around him

label giggled "i was thinking more like marco polo" she said grining
